2024 Begins

Brett and I visited some friends recently, and we began to discuss social media. We all are in our 30's, so we’ve been around the social media landscape for awhile. We also all own small craft businesses. I mentioned that I didn’t tend to post things on the business social media that were personal.

Well, since that discussion I’ve been picking this stance apart. I know that my education and training in the social work/educational fields gave me an immediate work and personal life boundary that I felt was required everywhere. I didn’t know that was the source of it at first, but i came to realize that it explained it all.

I have separated myself from the business in the same way that I separate professional Carla with personal Carla in my previous career world. Which doesn’t make any sense as an artist and creator.

So I am going to try to break this long-standing habit. I am going to try to let myself shine through my creations and make more things that I just really want to make. I have some many ideas about things to make, that i’m going to try to pump them out. I'm going to start selling more of the files I create. So if you’re a fellow laser user, you can make it yourself! I am going to stop making and selling stud earrings because I hate them. I will still make dangle earrings. I’m also going to be theough various other things out there. Like, I have some tie dye tapestries I want to make. I’ll probably set up a one of a kind section on here and etsy.

So yeah… that’s my current thoughts. I’m not even going to go back and edit this. I apologize for possible weird typos and autocorrects. I’m doing this from my app on my phone.
